Eula J. Lambert known as Lucye to her family & friends, 80, of Rochelle, was called home to be with Our Lord& savior on January 10, 2011 at her home. She was born August 4, 1930 in Osceola, Ark daughter of Addie Louisa & Albert Lee Cockrum. Eula spent her days on earth loving and caring for her loving family. In addition to being a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister and aunt, she worked in the Rochelle school system as an librarian. She enjoyed interacting with children. For many years she was active in the church by cooking, feeding and housing missionaries and teaching and sharing the Lord’s word. She is survived by her husband , W.B. of Rochelle; daughter, Deborah J. (Scott) Eakle of Missouri; son, Douglas (Debbie) Lambert of Missouri; grandchildren, Corey (Chantell) Lambert & Chelsea Eakle; great-grandson, Kylar Lain Lambert; brothers, Ted (Earlene) Cockrum and Ray (Becky) Cockrum; many nieces and nephews. Eula is preceded by the Lord’s calling by her mother and father; great-granddaughter, Kristine Carrie Eakle; brothers, Loran Cockrum, Joseph “Joe” Cockrum, Hubert Cockrum and George Cockrum; sisters, Bessie M. Phillips, Geraldine Jackson, Wilma Stinnett, Reba Evans and Phyllis Ann Nienhous The final celebration of Eula’s life will be held as a visitation Wednesday January 12, 2011 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home 704 N. 6th Street Rochelle, 815-562-6872. As Eula’s soul joins our maker her mortal body will be laid to rest 10:30 am Thursday January 13, 2011 at New Beginnings Baptist Church of Creston, with a one hour visitation prior at church. Burial at Lawnridge Cemetery.
