Judy R Hays

Ashton--Judy R. Hays, 63, went to be with the Lord on Monday, February 21, 2011. She was born on December 6, 1947 in Rochelle. The youngest of 3 children, Judy was the daughter of Carl and Eula Faye (Rasmussen) Friday. She was married to Verlyn Hays December 31, 1965. She is survived by her three children, Lauri Hays, Michelle (Hays) Glosser, and Randy Hays all of Rochelle; her three grandchildren, Kali Smith, Garrett Glosser, and Ethan Hays all of Rochelle; her sister, Elaine (Thomas) Currens of Columbus, IN; her brother, Carl (Judith) Friday of Ashton. As a life long resident of Ashton, she raised her family there as a proud Mother, Grandmother, wife, and homemaker. In her healthy adult years, she was an active member of the Ashton Bible Church. She continually helped others even in her years of illness. She is preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am Friday February 25, 2011 at Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home in Ashton 815-453-2441 601 Richardson Ave, with Pastor Farrel Stauffer officiating. Interment will be at Trinity Memory Gardens in Rochelle. Visitation will be held on Thursday evening, February 24, 2011 from 5-7pm at the funeral home.
