L.M. Goatcher

Rochelle- L.M. Goatcher, 83, of Rochelle went home to be with the Lord and his beautiful wife March 2, 2011 at Rochelle Gardens. L.M. was born April 27, 1927 in New Port, Arkansas son of Walter and Etter Goatcher. He married Ophilia Loyd on January 19, 1946. L.M. served in the United States Army during WWII and was an avid fisherman enjoyed gardening and spending time with his family. He is survived by his children, Jim (Debra) Goatcher of Wynne, Ark., Kathyrn (James) Stewart of Wynne, Ark., Boyce (Pamela) Goatcher of Truman, Ark., Robert (Brenda) Goatcher of Wynne, Ark., Dana Smardo of Rochelle, Il., Donna (Barry) Blomberg of Dixon, Il. and Lawrence Goatcher of Nashville, Tn.; thirteen grandchildren; twenty six and a half great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; one daughter, Elizabeth; one son, Roger; one granddaughter, Angela; one brother, Carroll and his sister, Imogene Graveside services will be held 10:00 am Monday March 7, 2011 at Trinity Memory Gardens with Rev. Lowell Woolbright officiating and military rites by VFW Post 3878. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Unity Hospice.
