William A. "Bill" Manley

William A. “Bill” Manley, 81, of Rochelle passed away June 20, 2011 at Kishwaukee Hospital surrounded by his family. Bill was born May 10, 1930 in Mississippi son of James Henry & Pearl Manley. He married Juanita Robertson on December 26, 1950 in Cherryvalley, Arkansas. Bill’s grandchildren were one of the greatest joys in his life and he enjoyed fishing, hunting, gardening, bowling, shooting pool and cooking. Survivors include his wife, Juanita Manley of Rochelle; children, Brenda (Blaine) Hicks of Rochelle, Joan (Roger) Woods of DeKalb, Keith (Cathy) Manley of Rockford and Teresa (Rick) Summers of DeKalb; grandchildren, Richard Hicks, Stacey Hicks, Chris Woods, Cara Woods, Angie (Bruce) Seldal, Jeremy (Erica) Hicks, Brandon Woods, Ben Manley, Melissa (Josh) Wyzard, Tara (Rob) Shedden, Sarah Manley and Michelle Manley; great-grandchildren, Corrin Hicks, Cole Hicks, Jacob Seldal, Mak Seldal, Bailey Seldal, Aiden Seldal, Ciera Woods, Cashton Woods, Laney Hicks, Emma Hicks, Ella Wyzard and Chloe Shedden; sister, Bobby Manley of Hattiesburg, MS.. He preceded in death by two sisters, Lucille Odom, Birdie Head and two brothers J.W. Manley and Shannon Manley. Funeral service will be held 7:00 pm June 23, 2011 at Harvest Baptist Church 241 Scott Ave. Rochelle, with Pastor Keith Manley & Pastor Joe Rodriguez officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until time of service at the church. Graveside service will be held 2:00 pm Friday June 24, 2011 at Trinity Memory Gardens.
