Jacqueline "Jackie" Witzel

Jacqueline “Jackie” Witzel,82, of Ashton passed away Thursday, July 28, 2011 at Franklin Grove Nursing Center. She worked in the cafeteria at Ashton Schools for 28 years and then was the donut maker for Ashton’s Caseys for ten years and cooked at the Meadows in Franklin Grove. Jackie was born June 10, 1929 in Ashton, Il. the daughter of Milford (Jabby) and Ruth (Feaster) Wisman. She married Martin “Mike” Witzel on May 7, 1949 in Ashton. He preceded her in death on July 11, 2008. Survivors include her daughter Denise (Terry) Greenfield of Ashton, son, Jon (Faith) Witzel of Hendersonville, North Carolina;grandchildren,Jennifer(Greg) Cissna of Ashton, Gina Greenfield of Loves Park, Rebecca (Walter) Roell of Bloomingdale, Ken (Maria) Taylor of Deltona, Florida, and Shawn (Debi) Taylor of Orlando, Florida; great-grandchildren, Vivian Roell, Sara, Faith, Angelia and Savannah Taylor. Funeral service will be held 10:30 am Friday, August 5, 2011 at St. John's Lutheran Church in Ashton, with Pastor Jonathan Black officiating. Inurnment Ashton Cemetery.
