Bernadine Dorathy Pearle (Bauer) Kessel

Bernadine Dorathy Pearle (Bauer) Kessel, 83, of Franklin Grove passed away August 22, 2011 at Franklin Grove Nursing Center. Bernadine was born April 11, 1928 in Sublette, Il., daughter of Gust & Malinda Bauer. She married Donald Kessel August 6, 1946 at Clarion Lutheran Church, LaMoille, IL.. Bernadine attended high school in Amboy and Mendota and some college. Worked for many years as a waitress and twenty-eight years at Del Monte, Rochelle as a lab tech., and several years in the Franklin Grove Nursing Center. She belonged to Bradford Home Extension and China Home Extension and she loved to play cards. Survivors include her two sons, Gary Kessel of Franklin Grove, IL. and Dennis Kessel of Barrington, IL;.one daughter, Vickie (Steven) Carlson of Rockford, IL.; ten grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one sister Ruth Geuther of LaMoille, Il.. Preceded in death by her husband Donald; two children, Angela Page and Lane Kessel, one great-grandchild Tammy Page and one brother Norman. Funeral service will be Friday August 26, 2011, 10:00 am at St. John’s Lutheran Church, Ashton, IL. with Pastor Jonathan Black officiating. Internment will be at Restland Cemetery Mendota, IL.
