Anna M. Karper 87, of Rochelle passed away October 23, 2011 at Serenity Home in Oregon. Anna was born May 10, 1924 in Rutland Ohio, daughter of Herbert and Catherine Whaley. She married Howard “Bus” Karper, Jr. on December 22, 1956. She enjoyed knitting and bowling. She is survived by her son, Don Karper of Rochelle; daughter, Candy Karper of Rochelle; Sister, Mary (Gil) Gustafson of Texas; brother, Eugene Whaley of Rochelle; sister-in laws, Frances Karper of IL and Dot Pitzer of NV; and many nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard “Bus” Karper, Jr.; brother, Leland Whaley; sister, Frances Crum. Memorial services will be held 10:00 am Friday October 28, 2011 at Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home & Cremation Services 815-453-2441 601 Richardson Ave, Ashton, Il. A visitation will be held 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm Thursday October 27, 2011 at the funeral home. Burial of cremains will be at Franklin Grove Cemetery. Cremation rites have been accorded.
