ASHTON — Norman C. Weishaar, 81, of Ashton passed away Tuesday, Feb. 28, 2012 at CGH Hospital in Sterling. He was born Sept. 1, 1930 to Emrich and Marie Weishaar. He graduated from Ashton High School and married Wanda Sue Hotchkiss on July 26, 1952 in Ashton. He is survived by his wife, Wanda; a son, Jeffrey G. Weishaar of Ashton; daughter, Jan P. (Brad) Zimmerman of Rice Lake, Wis.; two grandsons, Jason William Zimmerman and Ryan Jay Zimmerman. He is also survived by two sisters, Berniece Ennen and Pauline Meurer, both of Ashton. He was preceded in death by his parents, Emrich and Marie. Norman was a charter member of the Ashton Lions Club and an active member of the Sterling Moose and Dixon Elks Club. He enjoyed big band music and dancing. He continued to operate his father’s business, presently called Weishaar Imp. Norman enjoyed sales and service to his many customers. Visitation will be held Friday, March 2 from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Coulon-Lyons Family Funeral Home in Ashton. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 3 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashton with a visitation from 9 a.m. until time of service.
