Mary A. McPherson

Mary A. McPherson, 73, of Franklin Grove, formerly of Mendota, passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2012 at Franklin Grove Living and Rehabilitation Center. Mary was born December 25, 1938 in Mendota, the daughter of Andrew and Mary Stenger Rapp. She enjoyed gardening and working on puzzles with her family. She was faithfully devoted to her Savior, Jesus Christ. Mary is now at peace and will be dearly missed by her family and friends. She is survived by her six children: Andrew (Ann) McPherson of Chattanooga, TN; John (Pam) McPherson of Knoxville, TN; Tony (Matalena) McPherson of Anchorage, AK; Yvette Wolfe of Ashton, IL; Catherine (Joseph) Godfrey of Weeki Wachee, FL; Monica (Rick) Johnson of Aurora, IL; three siblings: Andrew Rapp, Theresa Cokel, Francis (Sarah) Rapp all of Mendota. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren: Rachel, Daniel, Zachariah, and Kirstie McPherson, Elizabeth (Bryan) Roberson, Jennifer and Nicholas Wolfe, Amber, Taylor, and Kaitlyn Godfrey, Jonathon Jump, Jessica, and Bobbie Johnson. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister, Joanne Dean. A mass will be held 10:30 am Wednesday, April 11, 2012 at St. Patrick’s Catholic Church in Rochelle, IL. with Father William celebrant. Bruial at St. Patrick Catholic Cemetery.
