Richard Ross Aves, 48, of Rockford, Illinois passed Friday May 18 at his home due to Pneumonia. Born September 16, 1963 in Belvidere, Illinois. He is survived by his Father Norman R. Aves of Creston. Mother Linda K. Windsor of Rockford, 2 Half-sisters Rossi Aves, and Darla Hanstrom, Uncle Albert (Sunny) Aves of Kirkland, many cousins, and beloved cat Tipsters, and ex-wife Lori Whitlow. Proceeded by Paternal Grandparents William F. Aves and Dorothy E. Aves, Maternal grandparents Red Mowers and Katherine Richardson. Step Mother "Ma" Linda Aves, Aunt Edith Denby, Uncle Ronald Aves and his dog Spanky. Ricky was his dads little side kick loved being and helping with the race horses and farm work. When he got older worked a cement mason. Was into Bruce Lee and David Carradine movies. Was into gardening and anything outdoors. Got into wheel chair basketball after breaking his back. Rick was an animal lover and loved playing with Tipsters his 3 year old kitty. Enjoyed doing what he could for people and stood up for those who could not do it for themselves. Huge music fan. Enjoyed long talks on the phone. Memorial service will be held 12 pm Saturday June 2nd at New Beginnings Baptist Church 305 North Grove Street Creston, IL 60113,with Pastor Al Roose officiating.
