Jacqueline “Sherri” Freeland Jacqueline Sherri Freeland 72, of Mendota formerly of Sandwich died at home Monday July 1, 2013 of cancer surrounded by her family. She was born May 6, 1941 in Millington, Illinois to Marjorie and Donald Espeland. She married Clarence L.( Zip ) Freeland on June 12th 1959 in Sandwich.She worked for Sandwich Ambulance crew for 15 years becoming Captain after several years of service. She also worked for the Sandwich Hospital for 32 years. She was a member of the United Methodist Church of Sandwich. She is survived by her loving husband Clarence Freeland of Mendota, Wanda Freeland of Apache Junction, Az. and Gena Bedford (Scott Michael) of Sandwich, 3 sisters; Carla Keener, Dixie ( David ) Hood and Betty ( Rich ) Parkins, 2 brothers; Jack Espeland and Bradley ( Alexis ) Espeland. Grandchildren, Jason( Jamie) Bedford of Paw Paw, Amy (Kent) Verda of Earlville, Nichole Bedford of Fayetteville, NC. And three Greatchildren Kaylin and Michael Bedford and Brooklyn Verda. She was proceeded in death by her parents, an infant son at birth. Visitation services will be held Saturday July 6, 2013 from 1-2 pm at The Beverage Family Funeral Home, 104 Terry St, Sandwich, with a memorial service to follow at 2 pm. Luncheon to follow at Emmanuel Church, Lions Rd, Sandwich.
