Alvina Ruth Kuffel

Alvina Ruth Kuffel, 99, of Ashton, Illinois, died Friday, July 19, 2013 at Franklin Grove Nursing Center in Franklin Grove. Born November 6, 1913 in Peru, Illinois, the daughter of Carl and Alvina (Ottenbach) Liebe, she married Adolph Kuffel on June 26, 1937, in Hennepin, Illinois. Ruth worked for Westclox in Peru, Illinois as well as with her husband in their grocery stores in Walton and Kingston, Illinois. She is survived by two daughters, Janice (Don) Reinhold of Franklin Grove and Leanne (Dale) Vesta of Sycamore, Illinois; seven grandchildren, Jeff (Susan) Larson, Vicki (Ed) Essex, David Reinhold, Amanda (Scott) Brown, Kristine (Andre) Hennig, Katie Vesta and Ryan Vesta; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren; sister-in-law, Rosemary Liebe of Ladd, IL and brother-in-law, Don Seaton of LaSalle, Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; daughter, Marlene Larson; sister, Inez Seaton and brothers, Sonny, Eldon and William "Button" Liebe. There will be no visitation. Private graveside services will be held at a later date
