Eleanor June Hoffman

Eleanor June Hoffman 91, formally of Ashton, passed away July 23th, 2013 at the Blaine assisted living in Blaine Minnesota. She was born June 30th, 1922 in Princeton, Illinois to the late Sigfred and Ina Brunsberg. She married the late Everett Hoffman on February 15, 1946 in Kasbeer, Illinois. She was an Elementary school teacher and started teaching in 1942.She spent 17 years of her teaching career in Rochelle. She retired in 1982. She was Township Assessor from 1990-1996.Eleanor and Everett farmed in Walnut Illinois and then moved to Ashton in 1951 to continue farming. She is survived by her daughters: Carol(Eugene) Goble , Ellen (Gary) Reyzer an daughter in law Roxy Hoffman Several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was preceded in death her parents, her husband Everett in 2003, her son David and sisters Ethel and Ruth. Visitation for Eleanor will be Friday July 26 from 4:00- 7:00 p.m. at the Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home in Ashton, Illinois. Celebration of Eleanor’s life will be July 27th2013 at 11:00 a.m. the Ashton Bible Church with Rev. Farrel Stauffer officiating , a visitation 1 hour prior to the service at the church. Interment to follow at Ashton Cemetery, Ashton, IL. Arrangements were handled by Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home in Ashton, Illinois.
