Absent from this earth, present with the Lord, Jesse J Clark, 82 of Sandwich IL. went home to the Lord on October 24, 2013 after a 23 year battle with Parkinson’s Disease. At the age of 17 Jesse joined the Army and retired after 21 years of service as a Sergeant First Class. He then went to work for Caterpillar as a machine repairmen, and retired from there in March of 1991. He enjoyed woodworking , many friends and family received his crafts. Jesse is survived by his wife Rosemary (Conlin), his son James(Diane) Clark of Montgomery, his daughters; Debra Holbrook of Montgomery, and Roxanne Conlin of Sandwich, Il., and his two dogs; Buddy and Mimi who protected him throughout his illness. His sisters Dorothy Wright, Brenda (Randall) Ladd , Emma J Hill all of Harriman, Tennessee ,his brothers; Earl (Margret)Clark of Elizabethtown, Kentucky ,Loyd (June) Clark of Marion, Ohio ,Burl (Judy) of Mt. Home Arkansas, Murl (Kim) Clark of Huntsville, Ohio, Carl (Margaret)Beets of Rockwood, Tennessee ,Bobby (Ginny)Canup of Lewiston Idaho and Dean (Donna)Canup of Jackson Texas; two grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers and three sisters. Funeral Services will be October 28, 2013 at 12:00 p,m, at the Beverage Family Funeral Home with Reverend Jeff Coester officiating. Internment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich, Illinois, with full Military Honors.Visitation will be two hours prior to the service from 10:00-12:00pm. Arrangements handled by the Beverage Family Funeral Home. Memorials may be directed to Kishhealth System Hospice.
