Dorothy ( Dot ) Sherwood Moore

Dorothy “ Dot “ Sherwood Moore 85, of Rockford, IL. Passed away February 20th 2014 at Serenity Hospice and Home Oregon, IL. She was born November 26th 1928 in Rochelle, IL. To Harold and Idella Sherwood. She married Robert Moore in Macon, MS . in 1954. He passed away in 1981. She married Earl Kaiser in 1989, he passed away 1992. She worked many years for Del Monte and Eaton Corp in Rochelle, she also worked for Kurt Keene at Community Mini Storage, She moved to Rockford and worked at Cherryvale mall for 9 years. She enjoyed her retirement by traveling. She is survived by her daughter; Cherie Slack ( Larry Pontnack ) of Oregon, IL son; Michael ( Bobbie ) Moore of Stillman Valley, IL. Grandchildren; David Slack, Trevor Moore and Nate Gilmore. 4 great grandchildren and a sister Mary ( Sam ) Lopez of AR. Preceded in death by her parents, her husbands, brothers William, Everett, Richard, Harold Jr. and grandson Scott Slack. Funeral services will be held Monday February 24th 2014 at 12:00 p.m. at the Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home 704 N. 6th St. Rochelle , IL. With Rev. Randy Snyder officiating. Interment to follow to Flagg Center Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. till the time of service.
