Ronald R Searl 81 of Sandwich passed away March 18th, 2014 at Season’s Hospice in Naperville, Illinois. He was born on November 14 1932 to Ronald and Jennie (Paddock) Searl in Mound City Kansas. He married Zola Ward on August 4 1956 in Highwood Illinois and spent the 57 years happily married. He was in the United States Army from July 31,1954 as 2nd Lieutenant and ending his career as 1 Lieutenant on April 30 1958 with the Signal Corp. He was a school teacher for 25 years teaching Science and Math at Sandwich Middle School. He was a member of the Sandwich Moose Lodge and a carver at Fox Valley Older Adults cluc. He enjoyed bird watching, fishing, and being an electrician. He is survived by his wife Zola; his sons, Ronald ( Susan Fick ) of Westmont Illinois, Richard (Beth) of Sheridan Illinois, his daughter Jennifer (Todd) Clason of Somonauk. 5 grandchildren and 1 great grandchild. His brother Howard (Jeanette) Searl of LaCygne Kansas, and sister Joyce (Bud) Spresney of Cerritos California. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother Eugene. Visitation will be Friday March 21, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church 2465 W Sandwich Rd. Sandwich, IL. Funeral services will be Saturday March 22, 2014 at 10:00a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church in Sandwich Illinois with Pastor David Kaul officiating.
