Elmer D. Jones

Elmer D. Jones 85 of Ashton, IL went to see Jesus on March 26, 2014. He was born on March 31, 1928 to the late Oscar and Wincy ( Dollar ) Jones in Hazen, AR. He married Fronia Stanley on December 27, 1949. He moved to Ashton in 1967 and retired from Caron International in Rochelle. He attended Full Gospel Fellowship Church Rochelle. He is survived by his wife Fronia, 3 sons Granville Ray ( Debra ) Jones, James ( Bernita ) Jones all of Ashton and Barry ( Amy ) Jones of Midwest City , OK. He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren. And his oldest sister Bessie Swaim of Hazen, AR. He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers; Sam, Johnnie, Robert and Ray. Sisters; Jessie, Tressie, Eller and Fay. Visitation will be held Friday March 28, 2014 from 5-7 p.m. at Beverage- Lyons Family Funeral Home 601 Richardson Ave. Ashton, IL. Funeral will be Saturday March 29, 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home with a visitation 1 hr. prior to service. Interment to Ashton Cemetery.
