Howard Ray Marrs

Howard R. Marrs  85, of  Sandwich, IL. passed away April 4, 2014 at Edward Hospital, Naperville, IL. he was born on February 8, 1929 in Sandwich, IL. to the late Almanza C. and Bessie Mae ( Weldon ) Marrs. He married Marcia Johnson on October 12, 1968 in Lisbon, IL. He served his country with the US. Army with an anti-aircraft company during the Korean War. He was retired from Impact Die Co. He was a graduate in 1947 from Sandwich TWP High School, he was a member of Our Saviors Lutheran Church Sandwich and American legion Post 181. He was an avid sports fan and loved his Chicago Cubs. But what he loved most was his grandchildren, loved going to their sporting events and spending time with them. He is survived by his loving wife Marcia of Sandwich his Son; Michael ( Robin ) Marrs of Sandwich, sister; Florence Sebby of sandwich, brothers; Arthur of Milwaukee, WI and Charles ( Virginia ) Marrs of Alma, WV. He also leaves behind his precious grandchildren Michael Marrs Jr., Patrick ( Genna ) Caruso, Lindsey, Erric and Alexandra Caruso. He is preceded in death by his parents, son; Scott Howard, sister Mary Overby, twin brother Edward and brother in law Orrin ( Bud ) Sebby.  Funeral services will be held Tuesday April 8th, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Saviors Lutheran Church , Sandwich, IL. with Rev. David Kaul officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be same day from 9:00 a.m. till the time of service at the church.
