Othella Wilson, 79 of Sandwich passed away April 15, 2014 after a long, courageous battle with breast cancer. She was born January 8, 1935 in Johnston City Illinois to Joseph and Beatrice (Nation) Cole. She married Carl Wilson on May 30, 1952 in Pocahontas Arkansas. She was a homemaker, enjoyed traveling to Biloxi Mississppi every winter and spending her time golfing and shopping for Christmas. She was a charter member of Edgebrook Country Club and spent many years bowling at the Idle Hours lanes on the Ladies League. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family at the many gatherings at her home on the weekends and Holidays. Othella is survived by her husband of 62 years Carl; her children Carl Joe (Linda) Wilson, Brian (Lydia Fay) Wilson both of Sandwich and Gena (Wade) Fitzgerald of North Aurora; six grandchildren; Carlynn (Jim) Rowan of Somonauk, Jenna Wilson of Sandwich, Eric (Melissa) Wilson of Saunemin Il., Erin (Billy) Wilson of Verona Il, Alex (Ashley Dixon) Fitzgerald of Aurora, and Conor Fitzgerald of North Aurora; eight great grandchildren Brian, Payton, Kendall, Haven Wilson; Jimmy, Joey, Devon, Aiden Rowan. She also leaves behind her 2 special friends Pat and Evelyn She was preceded in death by her parents, her mother-in-law and father-in-law, Mattie and Ezra Wilson. Funeral Services will be Saturday April 19 2014 at 10:30 a.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich, Il. Interment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will Friday April 18, 2014 from 4:00-7:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home. Arrangements were entrusted to Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich Illinois www.beveragefamilyfh.com
