Franz Schnierer

Franz Schnierer 89 of Mt Carroll passed away August 15, 2014 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion. He was born on April 4, 1925 in Hungary. He was an orthopedic shoemaker in Hungary, and a dairy farmer in Mt Carroll Illinois. He was a member of St Wendelin’s Catholic Church in Shannon, IL. He is survived by his sister Katherine Thompson of Plano, Il., 3 nieces Kathy (Ruben Monteneze)Thompson of Germantown, Maryland,Karen Thompson (Jackie Phillips) of Charlotte, North Carolina and Kristine Thompson of Norway, IL.; 5 great nephews; David Thompson, Alex Martin, Sevyn, Frankie and Katya Shoveman. He was preceded in death by his parents Franz and Katharina and 2 nephews David and Tony. Funeral services will be Thursday August 21, 2014 at 10:00 a.m.at St Mary’s Catholic Church in Plano with Father Andy Davy, M.I.C., officiating. Interment will follow at St Patrick’s Cemetery Bristol, Illinois. Visitation will be from 4:00 – 7:00 p.m. August 20, 2014 at Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich Illinois.
