Eleanor Marie Spratt-Gatz

Eleanor Marie Gatz 99, of Ashton passed away August 31, 2014 at Serenity House Hospice in Oregon ,IL. She was born on November 28, 1914 in Dixon, IL. to the late Rummery and Mary ( Pierson ) Gatz. She was married to J. Walter Spratt in 1936 and together they both owned and operated a trucking company ,he passed away in 1966. She continued to operate the business after Walters’s death. She married Edwin Gatz in 1969 until his death in 1999. She worked several years at the Dixon State School also. She is survived by her niece Barbara Morgan of Peotone,IL. Daughter in-law Julie Gatz Hardesty of Chana, step grandchildren: Teri McFarland of Ft. Myers, FL. Tracy Seaman of Cape Corral, FL. Eric ( Maribel ) Smith of Freeport, FL. Dana ( Tom ) Stables of Naperville, IL and Scott Garman of York, UK. 12 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren, She is preceded in death by her parents both husbands and nephew Kenneth Pittman.
