Grace ( Lu ) Lucille Wade

Grace Lucille “LU” Wade 90 of Sandwich passed away September 11, 2014 at her home. She was born on February 14, 1924 to Clyde and Ruth (Winter) Park, in Waterman Illinois. She was raised on a farm in Somonauk Illinois. She married Arthur E. Wade Jr. and was happily married for 70 years, until her passing. She was a homemaker and also worked for the Sandwich School District. She was a founder of the “Buzzin Dozen.” She traveled extensively with her husband and and five children; from camping in the mountains to Caribbean cruises and trips to Hawaii and Europe. She visited all 50 states including Europe, the Caribbean and Canada. She was a lifelong member and Elder of the Somonauk United Presbyterian Church, which was founded by her direct ancestors. She also belonged to the mothers Club and volunteered at Our Sharing Pantry. She lived her life in the service of others through the Faith and Family. She is survived by her husband Arthur, her daughters Linda Trostle, Michele Wade, and Wendy Wade, son; Mark Wade and daughter in law Ginger Lang. sisters Helen Vanicky and Margaret Clever, grandson Matthew Trostle, granddaughter Erin Trostle, and granddaughter in law Kirstin Michel. She was preceded in death by her parents; Clyde and Ruth Park, a son Edward Wade, Brother Samuel Kenneth Parks and son in laws David Trostle and Michael Mowery. Funeral services will be Sunday September 14 2014 at 3:00 p.m. at Somonauk United Presbyterian Church in Somonauk Illinois with Reverend Gordan Page officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Mound Cemetery Somonauk, Illinois. Visitation will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service. Arrangements handled by Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich Illinois.
