Ivy Laverne Venator

Ivy Laverne (Crawford) Venator, 97, passed away on ¬¬Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at her home in Rochelle IL. Laverne was born on December 21, 1916 in Oregon City OR. She married Arthur David Venator on February 8, 1942 in Portland OR. They had two sons together and lived in Oregon and Illinois in various years. The couple moved to Rochelle IL in 1966 where Art worked for Swift & Co. until his retirement. Laverne enjoyed playing the piano, bridge games and gardening, and was previously active in the Rochelle Country Club and the Flagg Township Historical Society. Predeceased by her husband in January 2009, Laverne is survived by her sister Joan Epperson of Las Vegas NV; her sons John Venator of Valladolid, Yucatan, Mexico and Craig Venator of Myerstown PA; and granddaughter Dana Venator of Myerstown PA. No memorial service is planned and cremation arrangements have been made
