Margaret Ruth Scott

Margaret R. (McCoy ) Scott 90, passed away September 20, 2014 at Sandwich Rehabilitation and Healthcare . She was born on August 19, 1924 in Herrin, IL. to the late James and Polly ( Blevins ) McCoy. She was married to Erwin Scott on May 1, 1948 in Hatley, WI. They were married 65 years until Erwin’s passing. She was a warm and loving mother grandmother and great grandmother, She was a great cook and enjoyed trying new recipes. She worked for the Sugar Grove Elementary School as a cook from 1971 - 1984 . She had a quick wit and beautiful smile and enjoyed her weekly visits to Cracker Barrel. She is survived by her Children Wesley ( Diane ) Scott of Yorkville and Barbara ( Richard ) Rothlisberger of Sandwich. Sister in law Sue McCoy of Aurora. 3 grandchildren; Leslie, Lindsay and Adam. 6 great grandchildren; Matthew, Michaela, Logan, Teresa , Riley and Emily. She is preceded in death by her parents, her husband Erwin 8/27/2013 , daughter Winifred and brother William. Funeral services will be held Tuesday September 23, 2014 at the Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be held from 3:00 pm. till the time of service.
