Orville Wayne Yocum

Orville Wayne Yocum 87 of Franklin Grove passed away Friday September 26, 2014 at the Serenity Hospice House in Oregon Illinois, surrounded by his family. He was born on July 21, 1927 to Harry and Grace (Metzler) Yocum in Lafayette Twp, Ashton Illinois. He had a passion for John Deere memorabilia and collected John Deere lawn tractors. He also enjoyed Old Country Buffet. He is survived by his children; Dennis (Karen) Yocum, Patricia (Mark) Forrester, Larry (Kathy) Yocum and Steven (Josie) Yocum all of Franklin Grove, Illinois; 12 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Wanda who passed away in October of 2012, his brother Donald, his sisters; Dorothy, Lois, Jane, and Evelyn, and a granddaughter Melissa. Funeral services for Orville will be October 1, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. at the Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home in Ashton Illinois, with Pastor Jin-Ho Hong officiating. Interment will follow at the Franklin Grove Cemetery in Franklin Grove.
