Wade Ernest Hegland

Wade E. Hegland 53, of Sandwich passed away suddenly September 28th 2014 in Madison, WI. He was born August 1st 1961 in Aurora IL. to Ellewyn and Betty Hegland. He graduated from Sandwich Community High School Class of 1979, he went on to U of I in Champaign, IL graduated 1983.In the early 1970s Wade and his father trained and raced harness racing horses, his interest in horses lead him to U of I where he studied animal science. He worked breaking and breeding horses in Kentucky and also at Cottonwood Farm in Big Rock. Wade was an owner operator of his own trucking co. called WEH Inc. He loved his family and will be deeply missed forever by his sons; Erik and Jacob Hegland of Sandwich, IL. His loving mother Betty also of Sandwich, IL. Brother Scott ( Traci ) Hegland of Los Cruces, NM. Nieces Rachel and Olivia.His aunts and uncles Phyllis ( Dale ) Knutson of Malta, Helen Stanoy and Ray Feltes both of North Aurora. He leaves behind several aunt and uncles. He is preceded in death by his daughter Alyse and his father Ellewyn and uncle Steve Stanoy. Funeral services will be Saturday October 4th 2014 at Salem Lutheran Church ( Main St & Pleasant Ave ) Sandwich, IL. at 10:30 a.m. with Rev. Wayne Derber officiating. Interment to follow at Oak Ridge Cemetery Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be held Friday October 3rd 2014 from 4-8 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home.
