Fredrick Curtis McBride

Fredrick Curtis McBride 75 of Ashton passed away at OSF St. Anthony Medical Ctr. Rockford on November 28, 2014 after a brief illness. He was born on March 22, 1939 in Princeton, WV. To the late Lonnie and Fannie Jane ( Crocker ) McBride. He served his country with the US Army during the Viet Nam War and worked and retired from Del Monte food plant 199 after 40 years of service. He is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Catherine of Ashton, 2 sons; Rick ( Jennifer )McBride of Ashton and Ron ( Bridget ) McBride of Franklin Grove. 4 daughters; Margaret ( Arnold ) Hose of Forreston ,IL Barb ( Robert ) Hilton, Pam ( John ) McKenney of Mesa, AZ and Deb of San Francisco, CA. 10 precious grandchildren; Brandon, Kyle, Nathan, Timmy, Caleb, Morgan, Steven, April, Amanda, Brittney and 1 great grandchild Colton. He also leaves behind Brother in law Robert ( Maylana ) Whitsell of Houston ,TX Sisters in law Teresa ( Buddy ) of Ashton, Billie Jo ( Bob ) of Dixon, Michelle of Moore, OK, Tammy ( John ) of Woosung, IL. Jenny of Moore, OK. Beth of Springfield, IL and Cindy of Dwight ,IL and many nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held Thursday December 4, 2014 with Military Honors at the Ashton Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the family.
