Marie Josephine Zientek

Zientek, Marie Josephine (Tanzillo) of Sandwich, Illinois, formerly of Yorkville and Chicago, Illinois, passed away peacefully in her sleep at home surrounded by her loving dogs on Tuesday January 13, 2015. She was born on October 20, 1936 in Chicago, Illinois the daughter of Bernie Tanzillo and Victoria Kaslow. She was later raised by Phillip and Catherine (Gabrys) Zientek along with their four children. Marie loved to dance and travelled with a group of chorus line dancers who performed alongside Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, and Sammy Davis Jr. Her career allowed her to travel the states and meet many wonderful people. She retired from dancing in the late 60’s and worked until her retirement at Hostess Bakeries in Chicago where she made many lifelong friends. Marie loved her dogs and for years bred and raised over 100 puppies. Marie had no known surviving relatives, but had made many wonderful friends over the years. We invite all those friends to join us in a celebration of Marie’s life at the Beverage Family Funeral Home located at 107 Terry Street, Sandwich, Illinois at 1:00 pm on Sunday January 18, 2015. Marie will be buried in a private setting alongside her parents at the St. Adalbert Cemetery in Niles, Illinois.
