Jerry M. Myers

Jerry M. Myers 80 of Ashton passed away January 19, 2015 at the Freeport Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center. He was born on March 3, 1934 in Rochelle Illinois to Howard and Helene (Pilage) Myers. He graduated from Byron High School in 1952. He joined the Navy and was active duty from 1952-1956. After active duty he continued with the reserves for the Navy. He was a member of the Eastern Ogle-Lee VFW. He loved gardening, his dog Gizmo, and was an avid Bears Fan. He is survived by his spouse Linda, his children; Jerry (Karen) Myers Jr., Deanna (Tim) Primrose, Annette (Terry) Schlichting, and Jodi (Jim) Shepard., his brother Roger (Helen) Myers, 11 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren. Funeral Services will be Friday January 23rd 2015 at 12:00P.M.at the Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home in Ashton, IL. visitation will be same day from 10:00 a.m. till the time of service. Interment will take place at 2:30p.m. at the Willwood Cemetery in Rockford Illinois.
