Lonny Eugene Vahl

Lonny E. Vahl 57 of Serena passed away at OSF St. Elizabeth Hospital Ottawa, IL on April 2, 2015. He was born on April 21, 1957 to Ronald and Marie ( Chapman ) Vahl in Sandwich, IL. He was married to the former Khristina Forrer for many years, she survives. He was a member of the Sandwich Early day's Engine Club, Bureau Valley Antique Club in Ohio, IL. He enjoyed so much being with his grandchildren fishing, camping and taking is barrel train that he built for display and rides. He is survived by his loving family, his wife Khristina of Serena. His mother Marie of Sheridan, 3 children Michael ( Brandy ) Vahl of Topeka, KS, Melissa ( Eric ) Christoffel of Wedron and James Vahl of Serena. 2 sisters; Linda Rissman of Sheridan and Connie ( Bob ) Hinkelman of Streator. 3 Brothers; Roger and Philip ( Sandy ) of Sheridan and Dale ( Susan ) Vahl of IA. His precious grandchildren; Hailey, Jessie, Elizabeth, Nathanial, Alexzander, Liyah and Jordan, and several nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his father Ronald. Memorial service will be held Monday April 6, 2015 at 7:00 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral home Sandwich, IL. Visitation will be same day from 4:00 p.m. till the time of service.
