Emma J. Goken

Emma J. Goken 95, of Rochelle passed away April 20, 2015 at KSB Hospital Dixon. She was born on May 28, 1919 in Mendota, IL to the late Roy and Evelyn Reeder. Emma Graduated from Rollo High School Class of 1937 and was Salutatorian of her class. She married Herman Goker on December 1950 he passed away 1980. She loved nature, bird, flower, her grandchildren and especially her dogs, She was a great baker , baking marshmallow brownies, chocolate chip cookies and lemon meringue pie . She had a great sense of humor and loved to laugh she will be greatly missed. She is survived by her daughter Mary Jimmerson, son, Howard, grandchildren; Ricky Peterson, Jeff Peterson, Sharlene Peterson Bentley, Greg Peterson, Erik Peterson, Erin Stoja, Holly Stoja Weiss, Jonathan Stoja and Robert Stoja. Great grandchildren; Nicholas, Mitchell, Brandon, William, Shelby, Indiana , Sierra, Lydia, Isaac, Grant, Amelia, Kylee, Dominic, Brody and Joyce. Great great grandchildren Kayla, Allyssa and Elizabeth . She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, sister Harriett Balch, son Kenny, daughter in-law Sharon and son in-law Ned. Memorial services were held Friday April 24, 2015 at the Beverage- Lyons Family Funeral Home 704 N. 6th St. Rochelle, IL. with Judy Williams Chaplain officiating. www.beveragelyonsfamilyfh.com
