Dorothy Mae Griffith

Dorothy Mae Griffith 83, of Sandwich passed away at her home on May 18, 2015 at her husband at her side. She was born on March 25, 1932 in Sandwich IL. To the late Charles and Ruby (Walters) Wallis. She graduated Sandwich High School. She was a member of the Federated Church where she was treasurer and sang in the choir. She was a book keeper all her live working for Universal Forge, Johnson Electric, Sue Ann Shoppe all in Sandwich and Dr. David Skarin in Yorkville. She was very active in the Sandwich Mothers Club years ago. She was the youngest of seven children, survived by her only living brother Don (Ruth) Wallis of Sandwich. She is survived by her loving Husband William, loving daughters Susan Norem of Sandwich and Diane ( Paul ) Casurella of Didsbury Alberta Canada, sister in law Pat Wallis of sandwich, 4 Grandchildren; Jennifer ( Brian ) Poss of Oswego, Anna ( Greg ) Wegland , Joseph ( Laura ) Casurella and Peter ( Mackenzie ) Casurella all of Canada. 4 great grandchildren; Kaylie Poss, Tyler Poss, Mia Casurella and Hayley Casurella. She is preceded in death by her parents, 2 sisters Beatrice Thompson and Marie Gauer. 3 Brothers James, Charles and Ron Wallis. And her son in law John Norem. Memorial service will be held Friday May 22, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at the Federated Church Sandwich, with a short visitation from 10:15 a.m. till the time of service.
