Chief Kenneth Woolbright Retired passed away May 22, 2015 in Ft. Smith AR. Ken served his country with the military and came back home to begin his career in law enforcement at Ogle County Sheriff’s Dept. He later became a Rochelle City Police Officer. He raised through the ranks retiring a Chief of Police of Rochelle. He and his family move to his new home near Ft. Smith, AR. While enjoying his retirement his good friend and old partner at the Rochelle PD. Rick Olson ( now mayor of Sandwich, IL.) called for assistance from his old friend to come to Sandwich to be interim Chief of Police to bring back a professional leadership to the department until a full time Chief was found. Without any debate Ken arrived in Sandwich with bag in hand to help out his old friend. This shows a small fraction of what kind of man Ken was.
