Ronald ( Beeb ) Burdette Coffman

Ronald “Beeb” Burdette Coffman 73, of Chana passed away June 25, 2015 at Swedish American Hospital in Rockford, IL. Beeb was born March 29, 1942 in Pine Rock Township, Ogle County, IL to Burdette and Kathern (Gilroy) Coffman and was the fourth of seven children. He graduated from Oregon High School and served his country as a Sergeant First Class in the Army Special Forces. He married the former Nancy (McCaslin) Ihnen on July 7, 1975. Beeb worked many years as a heavy equipment operator for Local 150. He enjoyed friends, football, fishing, camping, and all things outdoors. He is survived by his daughter Nicole (Jason) DeGraf of Byron, stepdaughter Dana Ihnen of Las Vegas, stepson Dan (Linda) Ihnen of Las Vegas, grandson Adam Ihnen of Las Vegas, grandson Eric Ihnen of Las Vegas, grandson Payton DeGraf of Byron, sister Shirley Sigler of Rochelle, sister Ginger (Wayne) Haan of Polo, and brother Harold Coffman of Rochelle. He is also survived by several nephews and nieces. He is preceded in death by his parents, his wife Nancy, granddaughter Jadyn DeGraf, grandson Troy Ihnen, brother Sonny Coffman, and sisters Peggy Mitchusson and Daisy Camplain. Memorial graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on July 25, 2015 at Trinity Memory Gardens Cemetery Rochelle. Military Honors will be provided by Eastern Lee – Ogle VFW and US Army.
