Arlene Schutte

Arlene Marie Schutte February 27th, 1953 – September 16th, 2015 Arlene was born in Dixon, Illinois to Adam & Bertha Gleim. She was enjoying a vacation with her husband when she passed away suddenly and joined the Lord from a hospital in Billings, Montana. Arlene was united in marriage with Dale Robert Schutte on April 22nd, 1972 in Ashton, Illinois. Arlene enjoyed gardening, canning, and spending time with family and friends. She was very active in her church and participated in the church choir. She particularly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, crocheting, listening to Elvis music and taking care of her family. Arlene will always be remembered for her wonderful smile and giggle. Arlene will be missed by her loving husband, Dale Schutte; son, Chad (Tracy) Schutte of West Branch, IA; daughter, Amy (Steve) Wilcox of Franklin Grove, IL; daughter, Tammy (Jason) Norman of Amboy, IL. She will watch over her nine grandchildren: Taylor, Travis, Trey, Trenton, Haleigh, Kara, Ashley, Austin and Autumn. Other survivors include, her mother, Bertha Gleim; Carolyn (Kurt) Altenburg, Paul (Linda) Erisman, Joanne (Jack) Bott and several nieces and nephews. Arlene is reunited in Heaven with her Father, Adam Gleim; her twin infant sons, Allen John & Brian Wade; and her sister Barb Erisman. Services for Arlene begin with a visitation on Thursday, September 24th from 5 – 8pm at the Beverage Family Funeral Home, 601 Richardson Ave in Ashton, IL. The Funeral service will be at 10:30am on Friday, September 25th, 2015 at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Ashton, IL.
