James Richard Munson

James Richard Munson 68, of Sandwich passed away January 20th 2016 at Willow Crest Nursing Pavilion Sandwich. He was born on June 17th 1947 in Sandwich to the late Richard E. and Lois E. ( Ott ) Munson. Jimmy was a member of the Union Congregational Church of Somonauk, enjoyed watching Nascar, listening to country music (his favorite was Johnny Cash). One of his simple joys was eating pie at Bakers Square. Jimmy has lived and worked at Open Door in Sandwich 17 years and has enjoyed all his friends and co-workers. His family is so grateful for the friendship and care the Open Door had provided for him. He is survived by his brother Jerald (Mary) Munson of Sandwich, nephews Joshua and Zachery Munson and several Aunts Uncles and cousins. Memorial service will be held Saturday January 23rd 2016 at 11:00 am. At the Union Congregational Church of Somonauk, officiated by Rev. Chuck Manley, Interment will be held privately at Greenwood Cemetery Hinckley. Funeral luncheon will follow at the church. Service was entrusted to the Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich, In lieu of flowers family has asked that memorial be directed to the Open Door Sandwich or Union Congregational Church Somonauk.
