Paul Ignatius Smario, 79 of Plano passed away peacefully, with his family by his side on Friday February 19 2016 at Hillside Care Center. He was born on February 12, 1937 in Chicago Illinois to Frank and Agnes (Pavlinic) Smario. He served in the Korean War with the US Navy from 1955-1963 as a radio operator on the USS Stormes. He worked and retired from Burlington Northern Railroad. He was a founding member in a band called The Crestones from 1960- 1966. He met Diane Krueger and married the love of his life on September 21 1955 in Elizabeth City North Carolina and spent the next 62 years together. Paul especially loved his bonfires and cook outs and good times with his family and friends. He is survived by his wife Diane, his children; Denise Smario of Plano, IL and Michael (Tracy Arthaloney) of Omaha Nebraska. One brother Frank (Debi)Smario of California, and one sister Ronny (Robert) Strzepek of Maple Park IL., grandchildren; Jerry, Morgan, and Mary, and great grandchildren; Alexander, Matthew, and Breanna. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his daughter Linda Smario.
