Gerald ( Jerry ) Joseph Maloney

Gerald ( Jerry ) Joseph Maloney 71 of Sandwich passed away on March 6 2016 at his home with his loving family beside him. He was born in Chicago Illinois to Robert and Rose (Gielczewski) Maloney on March 1, 1945. He married Patricia A. Hewing on November 23, 1974 and was happily married for the next 41 years. Jerry worked and retired from M & J Electric in Naperville, Illinois. He was a member of St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church. He loved gardening, coaching baseball, T-ball, softball and bowling. He was on the Sandwich Park District Board, helped with the Boy Scouts, called bingo at St Paul’s, loved water sports, enjoyed traveling, and he was a Chicago sports team fans and Boston Celtics fan. He is survived by his wife Patricia, his children; Amanda Maloney, Ryan (Jessica) Maloney and Sean Maloney, granddaughter Samantha. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert & Rose and a sister Carol Ann Maloney. Funeral Mass will be held on March 12, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at St Paul the Apostle Catholic Church with Fr. Gerard Christianson officiating. Visitation will be on March 11, 2016 from 4:00-8:00 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich, Illinois. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to: Lymphomaniacs Relay for life team, and the American Cancer Society.
