Karen Ann Watson

Karen A. Watson passed away surrounded by her loving family on Friday, April 08, 2016 at the age of 72. Karen is preceded in death by her husband Aubrey Watson, parents Sherman and Velma Cunningham,brother Richard Cunningham, 3 sisters; Joyce Rogers, Charlotte Rix, and Peggy Lane. Karen is survived by her 5 loving children; Leann (Jim) Teckenbrock Sandwich, Il. Sherman (Kelly) Rogers Compton, Il. Kellie (Don) Medlock New Albany, Ms., JR (Erin) Roseony Golden, Co., Jeff Watson Sandwich, Il. and her 4 step children Ken (Dawn) Watson Delavan, Wisc., Stan Watson Aldilphus, Ky., Robert (Andrea) Watson Menifee, Ca., Mark (Kathy) Watson Huntley, Il. She is loved by her many, many grandchildren; great-grandchildren who called her “The Great One”; brother Mac (Shirley) Cunningham; many nieces and nephews. Karen was born in Yorkville, Illinois on October 10, 1943. She retired from Lyon Metal of Montgomery after 25 years of service. Karen enjoyed camping, fishing, swimming, traveling, shopping, movies, crocheting, painting and visiting with her family. Karen never met a stranger and she would go out of her way to help another person. Karen had a love for the Chicago Bears, White Sox and dogs. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fox valley Older Adults or Kishwaukee Hospice. Karen’s visitation will be from 2-5 p.m. Sunday April 10th 2016 with funeral service to follow at 5:00 p.m. at Beverage Family Funeral Home Sandwich, Il. www.beveragefamilyfh.com
