Norma Hazel Miller, 91 of Byron, Illinois passed away at Serenity House and Home on June 10, 2016. She was born to Edwin and Olga (Peterson) Edwards on December 5, 1925 in Waukegan, IL. She married George Leo Miller on June 28, 1953 in Ashton Illinois and was happily married for 57 years until his passing in 2010. Norma loved sewing, made little stuffed animals, did jigsaw puzzles, crossword puzzles, and word searches. She loved chocolate, traveling and her favorite place was Nachusa looking for the buffalo, but most of all she loved her family and grandchildren. She is survived by her children; Jeffrey (Leanne) Miller of Aurora, IL., Scott (Deann) Miller of Bailey Colorado, and Sandra (Duane) Blume of Bryon, IL. her 6 grandchildren; Nicole (Mike) Stuckert, Michelle (Scott) Tusa , Justin (Renee) Miller, Austin Blume, Sara Blume, and Katy Ray, 5 great grandchildren; Aleya Ray, Chase Stuckert, Lane Stuckert, Helen Miller, and a great grandson arriving soon. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband George and a sister Margaret Williams. Visitation will be June 23, 2016 at Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL. from 10:00-12:00 a.m. with the Funeral service to follow at 12:00 p.m. Dr. James Tilley will officiate.
