Earline Unger

Earline Unger 86 of Ashton passed away November 5, 2016 at her home. She was born on August 8, 1930 to Ernest and Lilly (Franklin) Smith in Brookhaven Mississippi. She married Vincent Unger on December 23, 1948 in Summit Mississippi and was happily married until his passing in 2011. She worked for General Electric in DeKalb, IL. She was a member of Ashton Bible Church in Ashton. She loved playing cards, going on outings with her good friends on Wednesdays and Saturdays, and loved her church family. She is survived by her children; Cathy (Jim) Long of Ashton IL., Bob (Karen) Unger of Clair,IL. Diane (Brian) Dixon of Rome IN. Sandy (Rick) Gramkowski of Belvidere IL. and Joel (Mary) Unger of DeKalb, IL., several grandchildren, 3 sisters Mildred Zeller of Rockford, IL., Mavis Anderson of Albany GA., and Thelma Smith of Ocean Springs MS., and her baby Bella. She was preceded in death by her parents, her loving husband Vincent, 3 brothers Leonard , Pearlie and Elmer. Funeral services will be on Thursday November 10, 2016 at 11:00a.m. at the Ashton Bible Church with Reverend Farrel Stauffer officiating. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
