Charles Francis Pfeifer

Charles Francis Pfeifer 56 of Serena, IL. passed away at his home on Sunday March 5, 2017. He was born on September 6 1960 to Joseph and Dolores (Zimmerman) Pfeifer in Aurora, IL. He attended Schneider Grade School in North Aurora, Washington Middle School and West High School in Aurora. He worked at Anchor Brake Shoe Company in West Chicago for 38 years. He was also a volunteer Fireman for Marywood, IL. He was an avid hunter and fisherman from the time he could hold a fishing pole. He was a “Jack of all trades” and could fix anything. He was so proud of his finished basement and his beautiful yard. He helped build his sisters and nephews houses and had a great time. He would do anything for anyone, generous and kind. He always had a smile on his face. He loved to travel with his wife and especially loved the trip out West and was looking forward to more trips. He is survived by his wife Pat. His parents Joe and Dolores Pfeifer, his children; Mike (Becky) Pfeifer and their son Riley, Dan Pfeifer, his sisters Glenda (Bob) Nold, Diane (Larry) Langston, Debbie (Jack) Gimlin, L Shelley (Derek) Davidson and a brother Larry (Donna) Pfeifer, his brother in laws; Dean Sherwood, Rob (Janice) Sherwood, Jeff Sherwood, mother in law Lynne Sherwood, several nieces and nephews, and his furry friends Mousse, Duke, Sam and Rizzo. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; Carl and Irene Zimmerman, Frank and Marie Pfeifer, his father in law Ken Sherwood and brother in law Mark Sherwood. Funeral service will be held March 9, 2017 during the visitation which will be held at the Beverage Family Funeral Home 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL from 4 p.m. till 7 p.m. with Fr.
