Matthew Fredrick Yates

Matthew Fredrick Yates 46, of Sterling, IL. formerly of Rochelle passed away on April 28, 2017. He was born on December 14, 1970 to Mitchell and Ella (Jellison) Yates in Sterling IL. He was an avid Star Wars fan and enjoyed watching movies. His daughter Grace was his life. He is survived by his daughter Grace, his mother Ella of Dixon, 2 sisters; Jennifer (Joseph) Loomis of Franklin Grove, IL. and Denise Stephen of Rochelle, IL., his brother Daniel Yates, a stepsister Michelle Schipper and a step brother Jim Timmons. He was preceded in death by his father Mitchell Yates. A Memorial service will be held on May 6, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home 704 N. 6th St. Rochelle, IL. with Pastor Cory Gilliam officiating. Arrangements were handled by Beverage Lyons Family Funeral Home in Rochelle, IL.
