Darik Lee Martin 22 of Plano, IL. away at his home on May 1, 2017. He was born on May 10, 1994 to Frank Martin and Carin Spears in Aurora, IL. He loved gardening, cooking, baking, gaming, and especially loved his Jeep and taking it out mudding. He worked at the National Jamboree in West Virginia , He was a part of the Air ( JOTA ) AARL American Radio Relay Jamboree, which provides scout meets around the world through HAM radio. He was an Eagle Scout and earned the Vigil Honor which is the highest honor that a scout can receive. He was Co- camp director for the Cub scouts and lead stations and programs for the last 13 years. He was a Heartland Blood Donor for the last six years. He also enjoyed the theater and acting. He loved hanging out with his friends, and his dog Shadow. He is survived by his Mother Carin Martin of Plano, IL., his Father Frank (Victoria) Martin of Sandwich, IL., his brother Isaiah Martin of Plano, IL., his sister Hannah Hauschild of Sandwich IL., his Paternal grandparents, Sheila (Paul) Lanphier of Wyoming, His maternal grandparents Jim and Carol Spears of Plano, IL., his Aunts; Debbie (Bob) Mahoney Of Missouri, Sharin(Danny) Smith of Howell MI., his Uncles Tom, John, Doug Martin, and his cousins; Austin and Christa Smith, Molley and Danny Mahoney, Jonathon Martin, Jacob, Damon, Kyle, Chelsea, Zach, Katy, Laney, Courtney, and Justin Martin. Visitation will be held on May 7th, 2017 from 2:00-6:00 p.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home 104 Terry St. Sandwich, IL. Funeral services will be May 8th 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Beverage Family Funeral Home with Reverend Stevan Saunders officiating. Burial will follow at the Little Township Cemetery in Plano, IL. Arrangements were handled by Beverage Family Funeral Home.
