Francis Hannah Fitzpatrick was welcomed into Heaven May 8, 2017. There to welcome her were her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and her loving husband Wayne. Fran was born March 9, 1932 to John Leslie and Nannie Margaret Sprowles. She married Wayne Fitzpatrick June, 16, 1951 and together they raised 3 children, Eileen, Ivan and Rose. They spent the next 62 years of their life together until his passing in 2013. Fran was employed by Sandwich State Bank (Castle Bank) for 33 years before retiring in 1994. She was very active in her church and showed her kind heart to many people by fixing delicious meals, and generously serving in any way she could. Her home was always open to family and friends, whether it was for an evening or for an extended stay everyone was made to feel welcome, loved and appreciated. She demonstrated her faith by the love she showed others, always with a sweet, non-judgemental spirit. After suffering a disabling condition, she gracefully made Willowcrest her home, continuing to offer her sweet spirit to everyone she came in contact with including new friends and staff alike. Her hobbies included, sewing, collecting Longaberger baskets, puzzles, and painting. Some of her greatest joys were traveling and visiting her children and grandchildren. Her family and friends were the most important part of her life. She is survived by her daughters, Eileen Fitzpatrick of Reno, Nevada and Rose (Charlie) Kratz of Apollo Beach, FL, two sisters, Kathie (Jerry) Cleveland and Melia Ford both of Sandwich. Four Grandsons, Russ Wilkening, Dan Wilkening, Jesse Daniels and John Burke. A very special nephew Greg Redfeairn 5 great grandchildren and 1 great, great grandchild. Many nieces, nephews and close friends. She was preceded in death by the love of her life Wayne, her son Ivan, her parents John Leslie and Nannie Margaret Sprowles, her 2 brothers, James Cave and Earl James Sprowles and 1 sister Barbara Heriaud. Funeral service will be held Saturday May 13th 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Church 701 ions Rd. Sandwich IL. Visitation will be held from 9 a.m. till the time of service at the church. Interment at Oak Ridge Cemetery Sandwich, IL. Memorials may be directed to the Emmanuel Church which will in return will be placed in the the Wayne and Francis Fitzpatrick Foundation.
