Lester Wolfe Obituary Nov. 13, 1927-June 15, 2017 Lester Leo Wolfe has been taken from us by our Lord to a better place. Lester was born in Sycamore, Illinois on November 13, 1927 and passed from this troubled world on June 15, 2017. Formerly of Lee, Illinois, at the time of his passing he was a resident of the Eastern Kentucky Veterans Hospital in Hazard Kentucky. His remains will be returned to Illinois where his sons will lay him to Eternal Rest in the Oak Mound Cemetery in Somonauk, Illinois as he had instructed. He served two terms (6 years) in the Army Military and was a veteran of the Army Transportation Corps in the post WWII European Occupation Forces and the Army Signal Corps during the Korean Conflict. He was one of the few who received Combat Medals for both WWII and the Korean Conflict. Lester is survived by his two sons: Henry Lester Wolfe (Lisa) of Genoa, IL; Glen Leo Wolfe (Kimberly) of Medinah, IL; and one daughter, estranged, whereabouts unknown: seven grandchildren: Christopher Wolfe, Jacob Wolfe, Timothy Wolfe, Katrina Wolfe, Ashley Wolfe, Elizabeth Nicol and Andrew Nicol; two great grand children; multiple nieces and nephews and one sister: Eleanor Schwamburg of Franklin IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rodrick Glen Wolfe and Fay Myrtle Wolfe, and one brother, Leonard Wolfe.
