Matthew “Tweak” Ryan Butler, 26, Sheridan, IL, died on Wednesday, August 23, 2017, from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Yorkville, IL. Matthew was born August 13, 1991, in Cape Coral, Florida and was resident of Chicago, Rockford and Millington. He graduated from Sandwich High School and attended Rockford Community College and Waubonsee Community College. Matthew worked as a carpenter at Service Drywall & Decorating and was a member of Chicago Regional Council & Carpenters, Union Local 916. He continually pursued courses with the union to improve his skills, quality of work and advance his career. Matthew enjoyed hiking, grilling on weekends for family and friends, and attending concerts. He had a passion for music and favorites included: Umphrey's McGee, The Allman Brothers, and Frank Sinatra. Matthew’s family and friends would describe him as a gentle, kind-hearted soul who made people laugh and smile. His many friends felt that they were a better person just from knowing him. He helped others through rough times and always had the kindest things to say. He had a contagious laugh, a good heart and was mature with great potential. He was always happy, grateful and would always be there for you when needed. He loved and adored his fiancé and son. He was a best friend to his father. He loved and cared for his moms. He cherished his sister and brothers and family and friends. He is irreplaceable and will always be loved and remembered. Matthew who was to be married on September 23, 2017, is survived by his adoring fiancé, Kristen Riebe, and their beautiful 1 1/2 year old son, Gavin who he cherished as a loving father. (Mother-in-law, Teresa and Father-in-law, Brian) Matthew is survived by his loving father and mother, Michael and Pam Butler; his loving mother, Amy Pena (Sinuhe); paternal grandfather, Ronald Ryan; paternal grandmother, Marie Butler; maternal grandmother, Wendy Eppert; maternal grandfather, Bob Eppert; and grandmother, Gayle Claffy; sister, Kelly Butler; two brothers, Brett Butler and Brady Butler. Matthew is survived by numerous aunts, uncles and cousins, including: Aunts: Kathleen Dytrych (Peter), Karen Danielian, Jacklyn Perez (Brandon) Uncles: Ron Ryan (Chris), Thomas Butler, Kevin Claffy (Corianne), Charles Claffy Cousins: Jessica Ryan, Jennifer Ryan, Matthew Ryan, Hannah Dytrych, Jack Dytrych, Ryan Danielian, Maggie Danielian, Kahlie Keim, Thomas Butler, Liam Butler, Michael Claffy, William Claffy Aunt: Ang Eppert Uncle: Rob Eppert, (Juli), Corey Eppert, Tyler Eppert Cousins: Jimmy Wilder (Haley), (godfather to their son, James David), Sierra Wilder, Adam Strycker, Kai Wilder, Jecoah Cedarbloom He is preceded in death by grandfather, Michael Claffy. “No words could ever properly capture who you are as a person.
