Florence Eileen Ruszler Born: February 5, 1929 Died: November 10, 2017 On Friday, November 10, 2017, Florence “Flo” Ruszler received her promotion into eternity with her heavenly Father. She was a devoted and loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be greatly missed by her family. She leaves behind her husband of 70 years, John Ruszler; children Cindy (Jim – dec.) Sullivan, Mike (Bonnie) Ruszler, William Ruszler, Kathy (Len) Perretta; 12 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren; brother Tom (Marge) Myers and numerous nieces and nephews. She is proceeded in death by parents Oscar and Julia Myers; sisters Helen Morse and Margaret Coonce. Flo grew up in Terra Haute, Indiana, and shared many memories from her childhood. She fondly remembered attending Garfield High School and being in the National Honor Society, proudly spoke of working at AP & S Clinic, and cherished attending Maplewood (Maple Ave) Christian Church. She met and married John Ruszler, also from Terra Haute, and came to settle in Somonauk, Illinois where they raised their family together. Flo was an active part of her community. She served as a 4-H leader for 11 years, was a member of the Lyon Ladies Club of Aurora, member of Aurora Business & Professional Women, and faithful member of Plano Christian Church. She worked and eventually retired from Lyon Metal products and then served as secretary for Plano Christian Church. Visitation will be at Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich, Illinois, from 2-3 pm on November 17, 2017. Funeral Service to follow immediately.
