Hartford Lester Bruce Jr.

Hartford L. Bruce Jr. 86 of Somonauk, IL. passed away at his home on December 4, 2017 with his loving family by his side. He was born on May 27th, 1931 in Ripley Tennessee to Hartford and Wilma (Smith) Bruce. He married Mary McCafferty on July 2nd 1960 in Rockford, IL and spent the next 57 years happily married. Hartford was a Carpenter by trade. He loved doing crossword puzzles, traveling and playing Solitaire. He is survived by his wife Mary, his daughter Kathie (Alex) Cadena of Sandwich, IL; his 3 grandchildren Max, AJ and Danny; his 2 sisters, Betty Kelsey and Shirley Hammer. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother Charles. Graveside services will be held on Thursday December 7, 2017 at 10:30 at Oak Ridge Cemetery.
