Newman Syrus Olson Sr.

Newman S. Olson Sr. 94, of Somonauk passed away November 25,2007 at his home. He was born on February 1st 1913 in Fox twp Kendall Co.to the late Ole and Martha Olson. He was married to Jane Tweeden on November 20th 1937 in Valparaiso,IN. He was self employed as a poultry dealer. He is survived by his wife of 70 yrs. Jane Olson of Somonauk, His twins Nancy Barnett and Norman ( Rhonda ) Olson of Sandwich. A daughter in law Emily Olson of Kansas, 1 niece Marilyn ( Albert ) Lower, 1 nephew Randall ( Arlene ) Carpenter, 13 grandchildren, 26 Great grandchildren and 6 Great great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by hiis parents, his son Newman Olson Jr.,2sisters Thelma Olson and Minnie Carpenter. 3 brothers Earl, Obie and Erwin Olson. A son in law Paul Barnett, 1 grandchild Adan Sullivan and 1 great grandchild Richard Robart. Funeral services will be held Wednesday November 28th 2007 at 11:00 a.m. at Our LELAND CHAPEL 130 Railroad St. with the Rev. David Kaul Visitation will be 1 hr prior to service. Interment to follow to Leland Cemetery. Memorials maybe made to Our Saviors Lutheran Church.
